Abby Critselous promoted to project manager

Verdant Studio is excited to announce the promotion of Abby Critselous from Architectural Designer to Project Manager.

Abby has a passion for regionalist architecture as well as implementing inclusive practices in the design world.  She's spent the past two years at Verdant Studio working on a variety of project types including bespoke residential (custom single-family or renovations) and commercial (anywhere from warehouses to a small outdoor bar). She also aids in design decisions, code and zoning, as well as drafting and completing the sets for each project phase from predesign to construction administration.

"I am excited to take on a manager role and be the lead communicator with clients and consultants for certain projects. I look forward to overseeing more of the process," said Abby. "In my career I hope to find ways to utilize the different disciplines within the office - such as art and research - on projects, and find ways for Verdant Studio to be pioneers in the support of women in the profession and the world in general."

Abby is currently working on the very first Passive House home in Arkansas. Passive House is a standard for energy efficiency and sustainability in a building that is similar to LEED, but focuses more on creating a minimal need for heating and cooling through the building envelope and technology in order to maintain a small carbon footprint for the lifetime of the house.
